Returns & Warranty

Built to order

Every SimPit system is manufactured or configured to order in our New Zealand workshop. Because of this, we do not offer change-of-mind returns or refunds. Please use our specifications, dimension drawings, the SimPit Forge room-fit tool, or simply ask us before ordering — we would rather spend an hour helping you get the right configuration than ship the wrong one.

Faults and warranty

Your system is covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, from the date of delivery. The warranty covers the screen surface, frame components, and mounts. It does not cover damage from misuse, modification, incorrect assembly contrary to the supplied instructions, cosmetic wear from normal use, or damage to the coated surface caused by contact, cleaning chemicals, or adhesives.

If something is wrong, contact info@simpit.co.nz with your order number, a description, and photos. We assess every claim first and will then repair, replace the affected component, or refund, as appropriate to the fault. As with other manufacturers of large made-to-order equipment, faults are normally remedied by shipping replacement parts to you rather than returning the whole system. No return shipment will be accepted without prior written approval — goods sent back unapproved may be refused.

Shipping damage

Please inspect the packaging and contents on arrival and report transit damage to us within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the packaging and the damage. This is required for freight insurance claims.

Out-of-warranty and accidental damage

If the screen surface is damaged by accident, mishandling, or anything else not covered by warranty, a repair service is available: contact us first, and if repair is feasible the screen must be returned to our workshop. Freight in both directions and the repair cost are the owner’s responsibility. See the ALR Screen Handling guide in your account downloads for how to avoid the common causes of surface damage.

Software licences

SimPit Warp licences are issued to your hardware or USB key at delivery. To the extent permitted by law, software licences are non-refundable once issued.

Your statutory rights (New Zealand consumers)

If you purchase in New Zealand as a consumer, nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Where you purchase goods for the purposes of a business (in trade), the parties agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, as permitted by section 43(2) of that Act.

International orders

Export orders are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty above. Statutory consumer rights, where they apply, are those of your own country; return freight for non-fault claims is not covered.
