Privacy Policy
Who we are
SimPit Technologies Ltd, 20 Mill Road, Leithfield 7481, New Zealand. We design and manufacture curved projection screen systems and the SimPit Warp software. Questions about this policy or your personal information: info@simpit.co.nz. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect and why
Orders and quotes. When you place an order or request a quote we collect your name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and details of your order or room configuration. We use this to prepare quotes, build and ship your system, provide support, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
Payments. Card and payment processing is handled by our payment providers (Windcave, PayPal). We never see or store your full card details.
Accounts and downloads. If you hold a customer account, we store your login details and a log of software downloads (which release, when). This exists to deliver updates to genuine customers and protect our software from abuse.
Contact forms. Messages sent through our contact forms are delivered to us by email and used to respond to you.
Analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to understand how the site is used and to measure advertising. These set cookies and process usage data under their own privacy policies. Our currency selector also uses a cookie to remember your chosen currency.
Who we share it with
Only what is needed, with parties who need it: freight and courier companies (name, address, phone for delivery), payment providers (transaction processing), our exclusive distributor AIMS Co., Ltd. where an order is fulfilled or supported in Japan, and our email/hosting providers. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and invoicing records are kept at least 7 years as required by New Zealand tax law. Account and download records are kept while your account is active. Form messages are kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email info@simpit.co.nz and we will respond promptly. If you are in the EU/UK, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, including erasure and portability, which we honour on request.
Cookies
We use cookies for the shopping cart and checkout (essential), your currency preference, and the analytics/advertising tools described above. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser without breaking checkout.
